I’m still coming to terms with the fact that Google has decided, so very unceremoniously, to kill Reader on July 1. I thought to myself: “No, I can handle this. I’M AN ADULT!” Well, one or both of those thoughts turned out to be incorrect. I thought I would jump seamlessly over to one of many options and be just fine. But yesterday, when Feedly wasn’t working so great for me, I decided to open up Google Reader in the meantime (because who knows what’ll even happen if I miss 45 minutes straight of tech news or lolcats). I remembered what I’d been missing and am sorry to say that I’m off the wagon. Or, back on the wagon. I am on or off whichever part of the wagon where I was while I was using Feedly.
However, while Google has disappointed me in that avenue, it has very much upped its value in my life by adding one small and important search option to its image search page: animated. You can now specifically search for animated gifs via Google Image search. It is marvelous and will kill many of the hours you had put aside in your day to do charity work or anything else in life that is more important than scrolling through pages and pages of “puppies falling down.”
I have searched through and found several of the more important gifs of the internet. Enjoy.
